Dr. Michael B. Spellman (Florida Licensed Psychologist #3794) is the Founder and CEO of The Center
For Psychology and Neuropsychiatry. Dr. Spellman has earned two Masters degrees in Psychology from Columbia University. His doctorate is from the University of Texas at Austin with internship training at the Southwestern Medical School and Parkland Hospital in Dallas.Governor Jeb Bush appointed Dr. Spellman as a Commissioner to serve on Florida's Commission For Mental Health And Substance Abuse. A Distinguished Psychologist and recipient of the American Psychological Association's Heiser award, Dr. Spellman has also been recognized by his colleagues as Psychologist Of The Year. He has been recognized by the National Psychologist as one of the nation's most successful psychologists.
Active in the political arena, Dr. Spellman stays up-to-date on the issues that affect mental health services in Florida. He is currently the Chair of the Psychologists of Florida's Political Action Committee. He has spent many years on the Legislative Affairs and Public Policy Board and the Board of Directors of the Florida Psychological Association.

Dr. Jo Ann Agress (Florida Licensed Psychologist #6589) is a psychologist, licensed in the State of New York since
1985 and in Florida since 2002, the year she joined CPN.
A graduate of Northwestern University, Dr. Agress earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Yeshiva University. She completed her clinical psychology internship at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health in New York City. Her background reflects more than two decades of training and experience in assessment and psychotherapy in a variety of clinical settings as well as within a large suburban school district in the New York metropolitan area. Prior to relocating to Southwest Florida, Dr. Agress completed academic coursework and practicum work for a postdoctoral re-specialization in neuropsychology at Teachers College of Columbia University.
Dr. Agress provides a broad range of psychological services, including neuropsychological, psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational evaluation, psychotherapy, consultation, supervision, and in-service training for mental health professionals and educators. She is a consultant for the Department of Psychological Services of the Collier County School District, and she has completed independent psychological evaluations for the school districts in both Lee and Collier counties. Dr. Agress also serves on a panel of medical and psychological professionals who provide guardianship evaluations for the Lee County and Collier County Probate Courts.
Areas of specialized focus include neuropsychology and the needs of children, adolescents and adults with neurological disorders and the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with learning disabilities, nonverbal learning disorder, ADHD, and autistic spectrum disorders, including Asperger’s Syndrome. Dr. Agress provides evaluation and treatment for children and adults with depression, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder and disruptive behavior disorders. She also works with individuals who have sustained traumatic brain injury, seizure disorders, and other neurological disorders.
Dr. Steven Cohen (Florida Licensed Psychologist #7187) joined CPN in 2005.
Dr. Cohen is a clinical psychologist and works with children and adults of all ages. He specialized in pediatrics, working with children as young as two years of age.
Dr. Cohen received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont and his M.A.. and Doctorate from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. He served in the Residency and Post-Doctoral programs in Pediatric Psychology at the Children's Hospital of Michigan/Wayne State University Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience.
